I can't imagine many other books offer a few hundred hours of enjoyment for so little money. This was my first experience with pixel puzzles. I thought a waste of a large puzzle page. My only criticism is that the picture on the cover is also a puzzle near the end of the book. I completed the book just this morning. I enjoyed the challenge.
Answers are in the back if you get stuck and need a little help. This book begins with easy puzzles and progresses to more challenging ones. My only complaint is a few puzzles don't really look like something I recognize. Of all the puzzles, I enjoy doing these the best. I find them to be very addictive.
But some of these are very challenging. Minus one star for the terrible paper.
Also for the discomfort because the book is too small to comfortably hold folded. I use pencil and my hands get black and the picture smears.
I've been doing pixel puzzles for a while. But they are fun to read. This book would still be good for beginners because of the easy-to-read directions and smaller puzzle format.
A spiral bound book would definitely keep me coming back for more. So I figured the smaller puzzles would be a cinch.
I use logic and don't rely on the hints.
addicting. oh boy. fun. good mind-bending puzzles. I am 'almost sorry' I discovered these puzzles. Had never tried them before, spent hours the first few times I used the book.
My only complaint would be the roughness of the paper. I'm pretty good at these kinds of puzzles, but many of the harder puzzles in this book took me several hours to complete--very challenging. This book of hanje puzzles was great fun. I've finally started photocopying the puzzles onto better paper. For the most part, the resulting pictures were worth it. Each puzzle was rated for difficulty.not necessarily related to the size of the grid. The resulting pictures have been pretty interesting.
